Continuing with the trend of pulling in some of the beads that are already made and piling up in my studio, tonight I put together this green polymer clay necklace on distressed brown leather.
Whenever I’m making a batch of beads – using a variety of techniques including mokume gane, Stroppel cane, mica shift, or this antiqued look – I try to also make a few buttons and other small connectors to give me more options when designing a piece of jewelry incorporating the beads. Buttons are my favorite closures with leather – I love this look!
I’m enjoying blogging even though my posts are not very long. It’s keeping me creating!
