As part of my plan to improve my art, I am proposing to Clay Every Day – and to post about it as often as possible. I got this idea from a book I ran across 365: A Daily Creativity Journal: Make Something Every Day and Change Your Life and was inspired by. By keeping the creative juices flowing, I hope to dig deep and bring out my inner artist.
Today I worked on 2 different things – neither of them finished.
I’ve recently had a fascination with light gold, dark gold, black, and bronze as evidenced by this:
I sat down and played with just 3 of the colors (leaving out the dark gold) and found that the combination of bronze, light gold, and black look a LOT like red meat with marbled fat! I made the following pendant and then mixed the rest of the batch together to make a pretty metallic brown instead of making meat!
I recently picked up a texture sheet and was playing around with orange and purple using it – here’s the texture sheet w/purple clay.
And here’s what I created!
As I finish up these projects by curing them and using them in jewelry creations, I’ll revisit them in a later post!
